I'm also prepping for visitors so I can relate 🙂 I haven't had many in the 8 years we've lived in NZ either. It is a long way for others to travel definitely. So we always appreciate when others make the trip 😁
I'm the same as both of you too! They're here now and it's amazing but I'm also so ready to have my peace and quiet again too 😂 it's a funny dance to find the balance between the two! I also really miss writing and haven't had much chance for that - hence the delayed reply too!! It is really special though! Real worlds colliding stuff. I love making all these new memories with people from my old homeland in my new(ish) one 🥰 xx

Right?! Haha! Yes, exactly. And when they come all this way you want to spend loads of time with them and do all the things but also need time and space to recharge. I get cranky when I'm overstimulated and it's a lot with a baby in the mix, too, but I'm loving it at the same time 😂
I can also relate! NL is not as far for my guests coming from the US, but it’s still a trek, so I appreciate it too! But then I also can’t wait for them to leave because I love my alone time. Hahaha.
