Love that "avoid taking the first think". As an overthinker that's definitely something I should remember! And I noticed those same differences by the way, as a Belgian now living in NZ. The "let me check my agenda" when wanting to meet and then they have a space for you in two weeks time. Here in NZ people just call you in the morning "want to do something today?" So different
Yesss. Stopping overthinking in its tracks is so hard! I struggle with it too! Regarding planning, the culture in NZ sounds nice! I have lots of expat friends in Amsterdam, and most of the Mediterranean ones are more like what you’ve experienced in NZ. I think it’s nice too!
I love reading your weekly journals about Artists Way. No I didn’t get my book yet coz I’m working with a book on inner child work right now. Once I finish it, I’ll start Artist Way for sure and will definitely tag you or chat with you about my thoughts.😄
Love this! I also love your sketch of the canal houses! I have so many similar tiny sketches from when I lived there. It's such a sketchable city 😂 I also feel you so much on the desire for a digital detox and yet needing to be contactable by our family. Gosh, it's so hard. I hope you have the best time in Turkey! 💜
Thank you, Cassie! I tried the digital detox, but by the end of day 1 I already had to be reached by my brother, so it was a fail. I was aiming to unplug while I’m here in Turkey, but it’s not happening. I will try small detoxes each week, like 24 hours or even 12 to see how it goes.

I’m glad you like the reflections! Sounds like an interesting book you’re reading, what’s it called?
The Inner Child Workbook by Catheryn L Taylor. I’ve just started and I’m planning to share about it soon.
Oh. Can’t wait! I’m going to add it to my list as well!
Grew up with a multicultural background and have had multicultural relationships.
As with every other area of life, adaptability and finding joy in the new, makes a massive, positive difference😎
It does indeed! I think it keeps things interesting, for sure!

Ach, I feel you. It's so hard. Sending you lots of love on this tender journey 💜
I love this review of the Artist's Way! I love the book, so transformative, but it does require a commitment. 😄
It does indeed! But I’m already wondering what I’ll do with the time once I’m done. I like having a routine like this. Thanks for reading! 🫶
Eat, sleep, repeat Alexis … if it’s working simply stretch the goals and carry on 👊🏻🎉😎
Thanks, Mark!
