Oops! I rebranded again.

Hey friends,

In true fashion, I’m starting my post-holiday return to work with a bang. No, not that kinda bang.

Instead of working, I’m announcing my rebrand here on Substack.

Whiskers is in on it.

I spent a grueling five minutes analyzing my Substack stats this weekend and realized that my top-performing posts are infused with humor. Am I actually funny? I thought while I tried to make sense of the data.

Time will tell.

The “funny” posts are also the ones I enjoyed writing the most or at least they were the least painful to write. Being vulnerable leads to connection, I know, I know. But I prefer hiding behind humor and laughing through life. That’s the truth.

So from now on, you’ll find me at Humor in Progress (this Substack)—it’s the same great me, but less “Dear Diary” and more humor, hopefully! 🤞

Here’s my pitch:

Funny(ish) stuff from a freelance tech writer moonlighting as a humorist—laugh with or at me. It’s fine.

Whiskers is coming along for the ride, so you’ll see more of him in future posts. He may even co-write a few pieces with me.

This is my new branding:

Very sophisticated, I know. In case you’re wondering how I created this amazing work of art, I find icons via The Noun Project and fiddle around with colors and fonts in Figma.
